The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has published a Federal Register notice announcing adjustments to several immigration-related fees under H.R. 1 for Fiscal Year 2026. These changes reflect the inflation rate measured from July 2024 through July 2025.
Beginning in FY 2026, DHS will continue to update certain H.R. 1 fees annually, applying the inflation index as required by the statute.
For applicants and employers, this means that any benefit request postmarked on or after January 1, 2026 must include the updated fee amount if it falls under the H.R. 1 fee categories.
